Abhishek Goindi Bags the INR 65K Adda52 High Roller Event at DPT February 2019

Abhishek Goindi took down the DPT February 2019 edition’s INR 65K Adda52 High Roller event and banked the top prize worth INR 14,50,000.

He topped a field of 86 players to win the high-stakes tournament at Deltin Royale Casino in Goa. He started playing on the final table with second-biggest chip stack and emerged victorious after beating Pradeep Sharma heads-up. Sharma earned INR 9,90,000 for his runner-up finish in the tournament.

The February 2019 edition of Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT), powered by Adda52, featured a total of 5 live poker events across 5 days of action. The series took place from 7th to 11th February at Deltin Royale – India’s largest cruise casino anchored on Mandovi river in Goa.

The INR 65k High Roller was one of the most anticipated event of the series and several well-known poker pros from across the country such as Vikram ‘Lungi’ Kumar, Tathagata Sengupta, Jayjit Ray, Nikita Luther, etc registered to the high-stakes tournament to battle it out for the title. The tournament played over 2 days and Goindi joined the 38 survivors of Day 1 on Day 2 with three other players as a late registration.

The 15K Deep Dive NLH champion Nikita Luther failed to reach the final table this time and got eliminated at the 15th position.

Goindi entered the 9-handed final table 2nd in chips. Shashank Jain was holding a massive chip lead but with his calm approach and composed gameplay, Goindi managed to keep chipping up. After Shashank Jain hit the rail at the 3rd position, Goindi entered the heads-up stage against Pradeep Sharma with a dominating chip lead.

It took about half an hour for Goindi to finish the game. On the last hand of the tournament, Sharma moved all-in with Qh -6h. Goindi called with Kh and Qd. The board revealed 5s 2h 9c 8h 10s and Goindi completed the victory with the high card (king).

Goindi is one of the most respected poker players in the country due to his impressive history of online and offline victories. He has made several deep runs across various prestigious domestic and international poker tournaments. .

He won the 2nd edition of Adda52’s Chip Up series last year by outlasting a massive field of 794 entries. He pocketed the top prize worth INR 2,50,000 by defeating Amarjeet Gandhi heads-up. His runner-up finish at 2012 Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon Main Event is his career- best win where he earned the gigantic $136,303 (INR 96,97,306).

Nikita Luther Won The DPT 15K Deep Dive NLH Event

Nikita Luther has taken down the February 2019 Deltin Poker Tournament’s opening event – 15K Deep Dive NLH – by conquering a field of 187 participants to win the enormous INR 6,80,000 first prize. She emerged as the champion by defeating Parikshit Dhall in the heads-up battle. Dhall bagged Rs. 4,55,000 for his runner-up finish.

The February edition of Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) 2019, powered by Adda52,  ran at Deltin Royale from 7th to 11th February. Deltin Royale is a luxurious cruise casino anchored on the Mandovi River in Goa. This 5-day mega event featured various popular categories of poker tournaments such as 15K Deep Dive NLH, 3-Seat GTD Main Event Satty, Adda52 High Roller 65K, 35K Main Event, and 15K Bounty.

Luther is a well-known professional poker player who has some major live poker championship wins to her name. She made headlines last year by conquering the $1000 NLH Tag Team Event in Las Vegas. She, along with her tag team partner German Poker Pro Giuseppe Pantaleo bested a field of 28 teams on the final table to earn the coveted bracelet and top prize money. She is India’s first female player to win a WSOP bracelet. She finished 11th in the Asian Poker Tour (APT) held in Vietnam in October 2018 and pocketed VND 135,160,000 (Rs. 4,30,600) for her efforts.

The final table of 15K Deep Dive NLH was an absolute treat to watch.

Ankit Kapoor was the chip leader and Luther reached the final table with the second-biggest stack. To make her way to the victory, Luther chose to play aggressive and keep attacking. She dominated the action on the table for a significant portion of time and went to knockout Alok Ranjan, Rubin Labroo, Arjun Agrawal, and Ankit Kapoor. Dhall played well heads-up and gave a good fight but he ultimately had to settle for a second place finish as Luther’s gameplay just proved to be too strong.

The latest edition of India’s biggest offline poker series – Deltin Poker Tournament concluded on 29th April 2018.

Powered by Adda52.com, Super High Roller Deltin Poker Tournament Colossus was a 4-day live poker series which ran from 26th to 29th April aboard India’s biggest cruise ship – Deltin Royale in Goa.

The highly anticipated event witnessed a record participation of top national and international poker pros which includes Sofia Lovgren, Kunal Patni, Nikita Luther, Aditya Sushant, Dhaval Mudgal, Abhishek Goindi, Sahil Agarwal, Meherzad Munsaf, Raghav Bansal, and many other notable personalities. The highlight of the tournament was “Universal Boss” cricketer Chris Gayle who was present to promote the event as well as to participate in the 200K Super Higher Roller. Famous Bollywood actress turned poker pro Minissha Lamba was one of the key attractions of this majestic event.

Chris Gayle is an avid poker player and due to his love for the sport, he was chosen as the brand ambassador of Super High Roller DPT Colossus. This all-rounder player who is famous for his extraordinary betting skills, is currently playing for Kings XI Punjab team in IPL and took a break from his busy schedule to spend some quality time playing his favorite card game at DPT.

The series opened with a bang when Vivek Rughani won the title in the 50K Warm Up event by besting a massive field of highly experienced poker players. He defeated Minissha Lamba heads-up for his first live tournament title and Rs. 9 Lac as prize money.

Sriharsha Doddapaneni, a 28-year-old player from Hyderabad emerged as the champion in 200K Super High Roller and took home his career-best Rs. 28.70 Lac as 1st prize. This is his first major victory in a live game. It was not an easy ride for Doddapaneni but he managed to outlast a strong field of well-known poker pros and reached the final table. He ultimately busted out Meherzad Munsaf heads-up and clinched the champions title. Munsaf took the runner-up spot for Rs. 19.16 Lac.

Satguru S claimed the top prize worth Rs. 2.57 Lac in the 25K NLH Bounty tournament after defeating Adda52 pro Kunal Patni heads-up. Kunal Patni cashed the 2nd prize worth Rs 1.54 Lac for his runner-up finish.
