Five Most Memorable Moments from DPT April 2017

The April month saw India’s biggest poker tournament take place aboard the largest and most luxurious casino Deltin Royale. The Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) lasted 6 days from 19th April to 24th April this month. The poker festival had a whopping INR 2.25 in the guaranteed prize pool, giving poker players a chance to win from the massive guaranteed prize pools across exciting tournaments.

In total, the Deltin Poker Tournament comprised of 6 events and kicked off in style with a 7K Warm up Event on 18th April on Adda52.com wherein Vivek Karwa (victor 2coolsmart) emerged the winner. The live action of the DPT April began with 15K Kickoff on 19th April. 20th April saw the beginning of the highlight tournament-35K Main Event. The biggest prize pool tournament of the DPT was 100K High Roller that took place from 22nd April to 23rd April. The Deltin Poker Tournament also featured a brand new event- Tag Teams Event on 23rd April. The tournament series finally concluded on 24th April with 15K PLO event. Here are the five most memorable moments witnessed at the April edition of the DPT:

 

Rubin Labroo –Wins the 15K Kick-Off Event for INR 6,80,250 the live action for the DPT April began with 15K Kickoff on 19th April. The event drew a 169 entrants including a number of notables and pros such as Adda52 Team Pro Live Kunal Patni, Amit Jain, Nikita Luther & Tarun Goyal alongside with INR 10K Kick-off champion Jasven Saigal, Rubin Labroo, Vikram Kumar, Minissha Lamba, Arsh Grover, Eka Vedantham, Abhisek Panda and Paawan Bansal. In the end, it was Rubin Labroo who emerged the champion, winning INR 6,80,250 in the top prize money. In heads-up battle, he defeated Abhisek Panda who was paid out INR 480,000 for his runner-up finish.
Mayank Agarwal- Ships Adda53 35K Main Event for INR for 27,50,100 after 15K Kickoff, it was the turn of the highlight tournament-Adda52K 35 Main event which lasted 3 days from 20th April to 22nd April. The event attracted a total of 294 across two starting flights- Day 1A and Day1B, generating 1,01,87,100 in the prize pool. The 35K Main Event payed out top 30 players with INR 27,50,100 going to the eventual winner and INR 16,85,000 for the runner-up finisher. After 3 days of the grueling action, it was Kolkata-based pro Mayank Agarwal who emerged the champion after defeating Haresh Kukreja in the heads-up game. This win was like a dream come true for Mayank as he won his first DPT Main Event title. Mayank started 8th in chips at the final table, but he played smartly and finally won the main event title along with the beautiful DPT trophy and bracelet.
Vidwath Shetty- Claims DPT100K High Roller for INR 36,23,000 the highest buy-in event of the series-100K High Roller took place from 22nd to 23rd April. The event attracted a total of 122 entrants including many notables and pros from various parts of the country. Eventually, it was Vidwath Shetty from Bangalore who emerged the champion after defeating Aditya Sushant ( who was the chip lead for most part of the final table) in the heads-up battle. Vidwath Shetty started third in chips on the final table but he played very smartly and made a few successful moves,which ultimately helped him to cruise his way to the top. He won a whopping INR 36,23,000 in the first place prize money, while Aditya Sushant won INR 598,000 for remarkable runner-up finish.
Deepak Bothra & Manoj Pentakota- Win Inaugural Tag Teams Event for INR 4,74000 this time Deltin Poker Tournament introduced a brand new tournament called Tag Teams Event, which took place on 23rd April and drew 42 entries, creating INR 12,60,000 in prizepool. Eventually, it was Deepak Bothra & Manoj Pentakota team that won the inaugural Tag Teams Event title for INR 4,74000 after outlasting R.G. & Yohan Patel team that received INR2,74,000 for finishing in 2nd place.
Aditya Sushant- Takes Down PLO Event for Impressive INR 4,76950 the Deltin Poker Tournament concluded on 24th April with DPT 15K PLO, which drew a total of 107 entries for INR 15,88,950. Top 12 players collected a share from the prizepool with min-cash paid of INR 28,000. Many notables were seen participating in this event including Adda52 Team Pro Live Kunal Patni, Eka Vedantham, Vivek Rughani, Siddarth Singhvi, DPT 100K High Roller Champion Vidwath Shetty, Abhishek Panda, Vinod Megalmani, Mayank Jaggi, DPT 60K High Roller Manoj Pentakota, Deepak Bothra, Abhishek Jalan, Nitin Jain, Aditya Sushant, Jagdeep Singh,etc. It was the Chennai pro Aditya Sushant who took down the title for INR 4,76,950. In heads-up, he defeated Alok Birewar who earned INR 3,02,000 for his efforts. Aditya put up a spectacular performance in this DPT, as he also made a fabulous runner-up finish in High Roller event and won INR 23 Lacs in prize money.
